Loretta L. Doan, Ph.D., is Vice President of Science, Policy, & Global Affairs at AACC, where she oversees advocacy, education, scholarly publishing, scientific affairs, and global outreach. Before joining AACC, Dr. Doan was Director of Science Policy for the Endocrine Society, where she built the Society’s influential global science-policy portfolio.

Dr. Doan earned her Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Louisville, KY, USA, and performed her postdoctoral studies at the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health, USA. Dr. Doan’s scientific studies focused on factors that influence the CD4/CD8 lineage decision in developing thymocytes.
